The Continuous Improvement Lead is a new position reporting to the Snr. Director, Operational Excellence and part of the wider Danaher Corporate IT Operations team. This is a Danaher Corporate role, hosted by our Cytiva operating company in Krakow.

The IT Transformation agenda that comes into life during 2025 will lead to a greater demand for enterprise-wide excellence. Working across the organisation to execute the strategy for Operational Excellence, this role will partner with our IT teams and operating companies to develop and embed continuous improvements that enhance efficiency, quality and deliver greater value. Monitoring standard metrics to bring greater awareness and enable decision making, using DBS to drive standardisation where it matters most.

Continuous Improvement Lead

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver Operational Priorities – in partnership with relevant subject matter experts, critically analyse Danaher’s current operational. Work with the Snr. Director Operational Excellence and cross functional teams to address critical gaps across the organisation, processes and technology; design and implement solutions, identify trends, root causes, ensuring measurable improvements are realized and sustained. Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives across IT functions.  

Design & deliver new standard work for the enterprise – develop, document and publish detailed operational procedures to support improved IT processes. Own the development and adoption of document and knowledge management practices to support knowledge sharing, process consistency, onboarding, and continuous improvement.

Support Operations Meeting cadence – Support the IT Operations team with key data to feed into L1, L2 & L3 Bowlers and KPIs, enabling the IT Operations leadership team to make key decisions, track actions, manage resources, address reds, identify new IT Operations projects and discuss gaps and barriers.   

DBS, IT Governance, Standards and Common Approach – Leverage defined standards and governance to deliver IT efficiencies and improvements within the IT function. Serve as a champion for a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Facilitate workshops, kaizen events, and stakeholder engagement sessions. Ensure improvements comply with IT governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.

Measure, Audit, Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Exercises – Ensure adherence to standard work, published procedures, and KPIs through regular process audit, simulations and table top exercises.   

Education and/or Experience:

BS or BA degree, ideally in a STEM related field or related experience

Minimum 8 years’ experience in continuous improvement roles, preferably in IT functions.

Proven track record of leading successful process improvement initiatives that sustain value for the organisation.

Excellent communicator, collaborator, and relationship builder.

Experience with process, value stream mapping and associated tooling.

Knowledge of ITIL, the software development lifecycle and various development methodologies is an advantage.
