Reporting to the Director, Operations _,_ the Continuous Improvement Engineering Manager is responsible for or leading and overseeing the organization's continuous improvement and manufacturing sustainment initiatives. The Manager will cultivate a culture of continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (SQDIP) by consistently challenging and improving existing process. The Manager will leverage their team of Manufacturing Engineers to execute risk reduction and continuous improvement strategies within our manufacturing processes, to support New Product Introductions (NPI), and to develop and own critical business strategic initiatives. The Manager will also act as our Veralto Enterprise System Leader (VESL), leading the implementation and deployment of the VES toolset to execute and sustain continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business. Lastly, the Manager will provide their associates with performance and development management and ensure their team is engaged in the work and culture of XOS.
This position is part of the Operations located in East Greenbush, New York, United States and will be onsite.
**In this role, a typical day will look like:**
+ Work to achieve production quality and delivery goals by supporting manufacturing process quality and effectiveness.
+ Prioritize the work of the Manufacturing Engineering Team to appropriately balance short- and long-term goals. Manufacturing Engineering work typically consists of equipment troubleshooting and maintenance, work instruction documentation and updates, Engineering Change (EC) implementation, and proactive process improvements.
+ Support the root cause and countermeasure of internal and external quality issues.
+ Support the NPI process from an Operations point of view, ensuring successful collaboration within the cross-functional NPI team and making sure that project deliverables are achieved. Note, accountable for Operations deliverables in the NPI process.
+ Implement and promote VES toolkit, including Kaizen, Daily Visual Management (DVM), Problem Solving Process (PSP), Transactional Process Improvement (TPI), Standard Work and 5S, to streamline processes, eliminate bottlenecks, identify root causes, and find and implement optimal solutions.
+ Take ownership of the continuous improvement process as well as individual initiatives across XOS. In collaboration with cross-functional teams, use a data-driven methodology to identify areas for improvement, drive the implementation of continuous improvement strategies that align with organizational objectives, and work with XOS Leadership to define clear roadmaps, monitor progress, and report on essential KPIs.
+ Proactively identify improvement opportunities and effectively communicate insights to XOS Leadership in a way that good business decisions can be made.
+ Provide leadership, guidance, and development to foster a culture of continuous improvement while prioritizing reactive versus proactive activities.
+ Effectively manage organizational change by identifying potential challenges, developing strategies to overcome resistance, and ensuring the successful implementation of change initiatives.
**The essential requirements of the job include:**
+ BS Degree in STEM field required or equivalent of 8 years of directly relevant experience.
+ Master in Business Administration or applicable Masters Degree preferred.
+ 3-5 years of direct management experience preferred, specifically with managing Engineering or Process Improvement roles.
+ 5 years of experience in roles related to continuous improvement and lean methodologies within a manufacturing or operational environment preferred.
+ Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
+ Experience with X-ray, high voltage, and advanced analytical equipment is strongly preferred.
+ Experience with XRF or atomic spectroscopy equipment is strongly preferred.
+ Travel 10% for customer VOC, trade shows, conferences, trainings, and business meetings.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $115000 - $135000 USD per year.
