Continuous Improvement Data Analyst - Q3C CO or MN

Q3 Contracting, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Continuous Improvement Data Analyst for Denver, CO or Saint Paul, MN.  Short Summary of the position.   The Continuous Improvement Business Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining data management as part of the Continuous Improvement team. This role works with internal and external stakeholders to determine operational requirements and identify opportunities to create supporting visual management that can scale across the Gas Operations business units. This role will be responsible for building tools and support structures needed to analyze data, and present findings to stakeholders and external customers that drive improvement and effective communication. This position requires a wide range of technical development, design and multitasking skills and will lead the implementation of BI and analytics solutions, including business process analysis, database design, core data architecture and report design/development. The ideal candidate will have strong data mining and modeling skills and is comfortable facilitating ideas and working from concept through to execution using project management disciplines.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Actively work with Operations on strategic programs to develop and implement data collection and reporting that provides reports and dashboards that support the management of programs, and facilitates communication with external and internal customers Collaborate with Safety, Compliance and Project Controls teams to integrate data and work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs Perform root cause analysis to drive process improvement Provide insight into business performance and suggest areas for and methods of improving Operations data practices Play a key role in the development, implementation, and ongoing operation of the company-wide data strategy, data governance and data stewardship Responsible for consulting with business users on business needs, translating business needs into requirements. Requires interfacing with internal team members, project management, schedule creation and adherence, communication and participation in the implementation of complex business intelligence solutions across the company Lead problem solving tasks and document solutions when applicable Identify and query data sources to retrieve required data for analysis Create, improve, and evaluate Key Performance Indicator modeling through Microsoft Project BI, Excel, or Smartsheet Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Experience with Microsoft Power Platform Proficient in applying data analytics tools and techniques to identify operational areas for continuous process improvement Proficient in MS Office Applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerBI Familiar with Smartsheet, preferred Experience in creating processes and procedures around data cleansing and data normalization Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills Experience in presenting data in a manner that adds value to various project stakeholders A high level of intellectual curiosity, with the ability to learn new concepts/frameworks, algorithms, and technology Bachelor’s Degree in an industry related field, preferred Problem solver, driven, and self-motivated Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal guidance Comfortable working in ambiguity A minimum of 2 years of experience in business analytics or related field Established history of leading and supporting successful projects

Compensation: $70,000-$110,000/year or hour depending on position (Compensation will depend on qualifications and experience.)
