Key Duties and Responsibilities
Overall coordination and tracking of Continuous Improvement Projects.
Lead the Continuous Improvement group in Cost Reduction and Efficiency Increase Projects.
Coach and Develop team members to ensure proper problem solving by the use of effective tools and techniques.
Promote and Deploy Continuous Improvement philosophy plant wide.
Operate within the approved budget.
Develop and specify Process Controls, Methods and Equipment for manufacturing products and components for Lean Manufacturing.
Support the manufacturing resources with the objective of maximizing the flow of product through assembly and test lines.
Guarantee and plan production capacities and capabilities according to the market demand (business plan) and future investment.
Develop workstation/plant layout, and cost and method improvements.
Day-to-day responsibility of the progress and implementation of the project. Responsible of the project being documented according to valid procedures. Coordinate the needed activities.
To follow, develop and acting according to Quality Assurance System based on ISO 13485 and FDA CGMP regulations.
Perform lean manufacturing training to all levels of the organization.
To comply with the company Quality Policy.
Take decisions within the Continuous Improvement Projects.
Establish a project organization for specific projects.
Delegation of tasks and responsibilities.
Preparation of investment application.
Call and carry out project meetings.
Information/Communication to/with the information group.
Reject projects, test methods or schedules given by DK or MX which are not complete, unrealistic and/or decreased the quality of the product.
Safety, Health, and Environment Responsibilities:
Comply with the safety, health and environmental policy and procedures established by EHSMS.
Be directly involved in corrective actions where they are related to other departments.
Maintain applicable documented information related to the EHSMS up to date. Receive the necessary training to ensure adequate competence of their position and staff. Understand EHS risks and all legal requirements related to their job responsibilities and the appropriate controls in place to manage those risks and requirements. Be aware of and support compliance with applicable significant environmental aspects and associated significant impacts.
Skills & Experience
5+ years' experience in a Lean Manufacturing Environment.
Ability to work in a fast pace, team and open environment with deadlines. CAD experience required.
Knowledge and experience with automation systems and how they operate. Experience working with ISO9001 or related relevant standards.
Experience using effective manufacturing process controls.
Proven ability to concurrently work on multiple projects with diverse teams.
Qualifications & Education
BS in Engineering; Industrial or Mechanical
Six Sigma experience a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
