**Opportunity**
BASIC FUNCTION
Under the supervision of the Industrial Engineering and Quality Manager, this position is responsible for leading the Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing efforts in 3 manufacturing plants at the Kohler Sanimex site. Additional responsibilities consist of determining the standard cost, maintaining SAP & VIS information updated, and providing support to improve productivity and quality to all areas in the organization, also to conduct the KOS events (continuous improvement projects) during the year, to propose strategies to improve Quality & productivity by implementing Lean Manufacturing philosophy to decrease final cost of the product.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the coordination of the Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing events (9 per year) and supporting all the teams.
Train and coach all teams at all levels on Lean Manufacturing tools.
Responsible for yearly SAP Maintenance such as Routings, Rework, Losses, slip and Glaze weights.
Maintain the Layered Process Audit updated and standardized.
Maintain Standard Work studies updated.
Responsible to achieve KOS Savings goals and report savings in monthly basis, achieve the goals and create new list for every year.
To conduct a monthly meeting with top level position (General supervisors and Managers) to inform results and continuous improvement strategies.
Provide support to all areas in the site to improve productivity, safety and quality through the kaizen team by implementing quick improvements that may include fabrication of racks, workstations, change in layout, etc.
Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position (See Responsibilities chart by position).
**Skills/Requirements**
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Engineering degree. Master degree is required.
EXPERIENCE:
Preference 5 years of related experience on implementing Lean Manufacturing Philosophy and Quality Systems.
FORMATION:
Preference Black Belt Six Sigma certified. Required Bilingual.
