Your New Role

CNN Global Newsource is looking for a talented bilingual speaker (Mandarin Chinese/English) for a temporary Content Producer position based in Hong Kong. This role will work to expand our reach and grow our engagement with CNN’s clients in the Asia-Pacific region. You will collaborate with internal groups to newsgather, create and distribute compelling content.

Your Role Accountabilities:

Be an editorial point-of-contact – as part of Global Newsource - for CNN’s international commercial team’s efforts to expand relationships in China while also helping with CNN's clients across the world. Contact top clients and grow their need to use CNN.

Collaborate effectively with CNN colleagues across departments/platforms to make sure we serve CNN’s external clients in the best efficient way.

Make sure content (live and taped) shared with clients is on-brand and consistent in style and quality, accompanied with factual, ready-to-use copy for distribution to CNN clients/affiliates.

Gather content and editorial information from CNN’s international affiliates or official sources to share widely with CNN platforms after making sure they meet CNN’s editorial standards.

Create compelling content that will expand brand awareness and user interaction and engagement.

Search through CNN’s current and archive videos to fulfill clients’ requests & inquiries.

Coordinate and execute liveshots for CNN clients with talents.

Qualifications & Experience…

3-6 years of TV/digital media experience at a news outlet

Great communication skills in Mandarin Chinese and English, with enthusiasm for collaboration

Multitasking capabilities; ability to monitor fast-moving streams of information

Sound editorial judgment with a passion for breaking news

Experience creating content, including video, copy, visuals and/or multimedia offerings

Understanding of journalistic standards, factchecking processes and style guidelines

Working knowledge of user experiences on top social platforms

Copywriting and editing skills

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and extended hours as news needs require

Experience using video programs such as Premiere Pro is a plus!

College degree needed
