Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
This is a creative role within Universal Studios Hollywood’s internal Production Team who will assist in the development and execution of video content to support the Marketing and Sales objectives for Universal Destination & Experiences North America. Looking for a highly creative individual capable of editing compelling video content and telling a cohesive story for the Universal Studios Hollywood brand. Candidate will be responsible for executing high quality video content needs for all media platforms including broadcast, on-line/social and in-park channels.
+ Independently edit high quality video content for all media platforms and work with creative partners to produce commercials, promos, sizzle reels, social ads, digital content, short and long-form narrative content and more for broadcast, online and in-park channels.
+ Create content that meets the consumer marketing goals while maintaining the global brand standards of UDX and its license partners, as well as legal partners.
+ Manage multiple projects concurrently, typically overseeing various video components related to high level marketing campaigns to ensure consistency and exceptional quality.
+ Maintains the production-to-post-production pipeline to ensure projects move smoothly throughout the editorial process by creating dailies, assisting with color sessions, and utilizing best archival practices.
+ Assists in proper management of the post-production pipeline from ingest to final delivery to archival.
+ Plays an active role in the curation of an ever-evolving library of video assets for the organization.
+ Present and contribute original ideas and production techniques to both internal and external partners.
+ Proficient in completing assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner under tight deadlines.
+ Understands set safety responsibilities and will adhere to established NBCU policies, procedures, training and EHS protocols.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.
+ Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
+ Manage the continuing improvement of internal post-production pipeline
Basic Requirements:
+ Proven ability to edit video content at a professional level.
+ Knowledge of industry standards regarding video post-production.
+ Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere, with basic After Effects and Photoshop knowledge.
+ Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
+ Basic understanding of broadcast and digital deliverables.
+ Ability to develop video tactics for top tier marketing campaigns and video content series.
+ Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Degree in Film, Advertising, or related field preferred.
+ Minimum 5 years' shooting/editing creative content.
