About the job

As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in a strategic communications partner for the North America Cluster by aligning local content and communication strategies with global and business unit priorities. This role will proactively shape and activate communications across channels—digital and non-digital—to strengthen Alfa Laval’s brand, support sales and marketing objectives, and enhance the customer journey. You will have the opportunity to drive collaboration with leadership, SMEs, and central teams to ensure consistent, impactful messaging that elevates Alfa Laval’s position across industries, business units, and applications where we choose to participate. These include Food & Water, Energy, Marine, and Service. Currently, this is a Hybrid opportunity located in Richmond, VA.

As a part of the team, you will:

Serve as the strategic communications partner to leadership and key stakeholders, proactively shaping and executing communication strategies that align with business objectives, strengthen organizational messaging, and foster engagement across internal and external audiences. Develop and execute an annual communication plan that is in sync with local market priorities and supports sales objectives. Key point of contact and strategist for all internal communications to ensure that the organization is aware of all initiatives taking place within North America. Key point of contact and content owner for all press releases with a focus on elevating our updated brand, specifically in areas of sustainability, energy efficiency, decarbonization and being a trusted partner. Align local content strategies with global and BU resources, ensuring effective activation of centrally developed content to meet market needs. Assist C&C Manager with the creation of local omnichannel content and communication strategy for key strategic initiatives. Develop compelling content for non-digital channels and partner with digital marketing to ensure seamless activation across platforms. Support internal company events such as open houses, team-building activities, holiday parties, and customer/employee appreciation events. Interact with external vendors, and internal team members to create and review all content and ensure consistent messaging.

What you know:

You have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, journalism, or related discipline, with relevant experience, and:

Type and Length of Experience: 5+ years of working experience. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and able to multitask on a variety of different projects and priorities across teams. Copy writing and public relations experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes Desired in Candidate: Creative, forward-thinking self-starter with attention to detail. Strong leader and strategic thinker with the ability to communicate, collaborate, and influence effectively with stakeholders across different areas. Highly organized with excellent time management skills. Ability to work productively with counterparts in a cross-functional capacity. Project management skills and understanding of how to manage priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment. Adobe Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Connect. Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint. Miscellaneous: Monday.com, Canva.
