Content & Channel Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Content & Channel Specialist to join our team and help advance our internal communications and content operations. This role involves overseeing the management and activation of engaging content across our internal platforms and communication channels. Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills are a must, and the ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving efficient and effective processes. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to their work. They also will be comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Execution

Support implementation of a comprehensive internal channel and content strategy that aligns with the company's goals and values.Track tasks and deadlines across the function to help ensure progression of all projects.Monitor and assess the performance of internal communication efforts, using insights to help refine approaches and identify best practices.Document and refine processes and protocols to support the function and its stakeholders.

Content Management

Create, curate, and manage high-quality content for internal platforms, including our intranet, internal newsletter, email campaigns, and digital signage.Utilize content management systems (CMS) for the day-to-day management of internal communication channels, ensuring that content is current, accurate, and easily accessible to employees.Monitor and control quality across content outputs for grammar, conciseness, clarity, and accuracy.Uphold brand guidelines across internal communication channels to positively reflect company identity and culture.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with various teams to gather content project requirements, ensuring that all outputs are timely, impactful, and aligned to plans for execution.Ensure on-time execution of content and publishing projects by managing stakeholders and deadlines.Coordinate with Internal Communications, Marketing, and IT teams to maintain channel operations as needed.Assist as needed with cross-training and support to employees on the use of internal communication tools and platforms.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Support channel operations team with ad hoc projects to drive operational improvements and strategic goals.Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in internal communications, channel operations, and web content management.Foster a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting and incorporating feedback from employees and stakeholders.Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in internal communication strategies and tools.Support initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and engagement of internal communications, leveraging new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills

RequiredBachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.5-6 years of experience in internal communications, content management, or a similar role.Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) and other digital communication tools.PreferredFamiliarity with web analytics and the ability to use data to inform content strategies.

Working Conditions

This role is hybrid with 3 days a week in our Hudson Yards office in New York, NY.

Salary Range:

$69,380.00 - $104,067.50

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
