Learnvia is a new Carnegie Mellon University initiative focused on transforming post-secondary math education through research-driven, AI-enhanced courseware. As part of CMU’s broader efforts in learning science and educational technology, Learnvia collaborates closely with faculty, researchers, and institutional partners to develop innovative, evidence-based learning experiences. We are seeking a Content Author to spearhead the development of engaging, interactive Calculus content for our innovative, mobile-first learning materials. This role is central to developing high-quality educational resources that empower college-level students to succeed in Calculus and related math courses. The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in Calculus with a passion for education, a talent for clear and concise communication, and experience in designing interactive, digital learning experiences. As part of the team, you’ll collaborate with other authors, engineers, and educators to deliver modern alternatives to traditional textbooks and homework, transforming the way students learn and apply Calculus concepts. **_Core responsibilities include:_** + Create concise, interactive Calculus content, including instructional text and auto-graded learning questions. + Design web-based homework assignments and engaging tools for key topics such as functions, trigonometry, and analytic geometry. + Refine and maintain existing Calculus content to ensure high quality and alignment with pedagogical standards. + Partner with the engineering team to develop tools for concept visualization, exploration, and practice. + Support Marketing and Sales efforts by delivering product demos, addressing instructor feedback, and assisting with special projects. + Coordinate external authoring projects, including reviewing proposals, training contributors, and ensuring high-quality output.
