We’re looking for a Content and Communications Manager- Maternity Leave cover to join our team in London, UK for 12 months
Liberty Global is looking for a trailblazing content and communications creator with drive and creativity to join its small in-house External Communications team in London. The role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with first-class writing, digital and communications skills and excellent editorial judgment to make a big impact on the way Liberty Global and its family of companies are perceived by key stakeholders such as investors, the media, politicians, regulators, current and future employees and customers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Proactively executing on the External Communications team’s content and communications strategy in order to influence key audiences across a range of earned, owned and paid media channels
Translating complex technical topics into accessible, engaging stories, making them understandable for a wide audience
Creating content that conveys key messages to different audiences in creative ways, using the latest digital marketing techniques
Coming up with original ideas and searching out stories from across Liberty Global family of companies
Creating bespoke content for different media across both digital and traditional channels – including press releases, blogs, thought leadership, social media posts and content for the corporate website
Managing and maintaining the content pipeline
Proactively managing the Liberty Global corporate website – designing and writing new sections, writing news stories and updating where necessary
Writing corporate social and publishing social media posts – from idea to execution
Working in partnership with senior leaders to write, create and publish content on their personal Linkedin channels
Drafting key messages for stakeholders
Using data and measurement to constantly improve content creation and publishing
Writing clear briefs for creative agencies for a range of digital assets - from web pages to short digital films and graphics
Working closely with different teams across Liberty Global – including public affairs and regulatory, products and technology teams, Corporate Responsibility, Investor Relations, strategy and M&A.
Building and maintaining relationships with teams across Liberty Telecom (Liberty Global’s telecommunications companies), Liberty Growth and Liberty Services
Supporting the rest of the external communications team during quarterly results and M&A announcements
Managing and executing projects and events
Evaluation and reporting of campaigns (including award entries)
Reviewing and inputting into LG employee policies, such as social media and crisis communications
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Excellent written English
Excellent news, feature writing and communication skills
Excellent editorial judgement
Experience in using AI in communications
Reliable, flexible team player
Strong Microsoft office skills including PPT
Experience managing agencies
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills
Experience in working in a global organization
Knowledge of communications evaluation practices, measurement tools and reporting
DESIRABLE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Experience in creative platforms such as Canva, Play Play and similar
Experience working in the Technology, Media and Telecoms industries
Experience working in a complex global organization
Knowledge of measurement tools and reporting
Agile and flexible, quick to respond to change

Acts in both an advisory and delivery capacity across the business
Hands-on experience of social media and other digital platforms
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills

Ability to create evaluation reports to showcase the work of the department with key stakeholders
