Consumer Technical Insight Assistant Manager

Essential requirements:

•Consumer & Sensory evaluation research capability, front-end design thinking skills

•Product development experience and project management skills

•Can work independently with great efficiency and resilience, can deal with pressure and challenge in multi-tasks

•Be open and creative, can lead MKT R&D etc. cross function discussion in early stage of innovation and dealing with great ambiguities

•Enjoy facilitation of x-activities, incl. workshop, product panel to internal associates/ visitors, consumer in-home visits, coordination of internal palatability trials etc.

•Great passion in innovation, being consumer-centric in product design, validation and claim development works

•Quick learning agility

•Capability to develop new Consumer & sensory evaluation testing methods and programs and techniques

•Drive China innovation agenda and pet parent centricity, reinforce consumer technical insight and CTI capabilities in China.

What will be your key responsibilities?Designs, executes and interprets Consumer & sensory research to transform into key product design attributes (KQA). Completes statistical analysis and prepares reports. Uses outside agencies and internal resources for testing when appointed. Provides expertise at identifying product characteristics and understanding consumer needs, translating consumer verbatim into technical language to lead innovation success. Lead front-end innovation workshop with cross functions, identify consumer needs using multiple consumer toolbox, transform consumer needs into superior proposition and product packaging design by deploying global CTI powerhouse toolsDrive local innovation and growth projects, can work closely with overseas cross function in importation projects, responsible to transform product “beauty” into communication/ consumer understandable language to power up claimsLead insight foresight enhancement activities, build pet parent closeness culture in China team by organizing pet parent in-home visit, focus group discussions, quantitative consumer research for detection of early consumer/market/technology trendsSupport annually product performance validation, responsible for testing result sensemaking with cross function to diagnose next stepsCoordinate internal pet testing trials, recruit, validate & maintain pet panel to deliver robust resultsCompetitor intelligence and CTI database management, budget management
