Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist 1
Description Summary: Under minimum supervision, performs a variety of assignments that are moderately complex and require detailed knowledge of company and/or department procedures. Receives, classifies, reconciles, interprets, consolidates, maintains and/or summarizes multiple sources of records, files or documents. Compiles regular and special reports drawing data from a variety of sources. Exchanges information and resolves problems where multiple non-standard solutions are available. Refers unusual cases to team leader or supervisor. This position is typically cross trained to perform various functions in the area. May train less experienced employees and/or organize workflow. Job Description Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist 1, Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00. This is an in office position, located at 5555 Cleveland Ave Columbus, Ohio. + Under minimum supervision, performs various assignments within the Consumer Cash Team that includes processing payoff checks for installment loans, opening distributing mail and other processes within the department from routine to moderately complex across multiple systems such as Hogan. + Process and reconcile loan payments including debits and credits according to established guidelines and procedures. + Review and analyze loan payment transaction history to correct or address payment anomalies. + Process a large volume of payments daily. + Prioritize tasks in compliance with production goals and deadlines. + Correspond with internal and external customers. + Keep accurate records, documenting processes on loans. + Take part in professional development and training to improve knowledge and skill set. + Collaborate with co-workers in the department and across business segments to provide effective service to customers. + Responsible for all duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Minimum of 1 year of experience in an office environment. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high production demands Preferred Qualifications: + Ability to key 40-45 wpm + Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. + Preferred experience with installment loans or reconciling payments. + Excellent customer service and team building skills required.
