Citizens Bank is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and collaborative individual to serve as a Senior Product Manager and help drive our Consumer Digital Payments agenda forward. With focus on every day and highly utilized money movement capabilities such as transfers, this person will impact payments initiatives at the enterprise level. The ideal candidate will have prior product management experience and knowledge of transfers and money movement in the U.S. The role will specifically focus on internal and external transfers, as well as real-time payments. This person will need to work across the organization in close partnership with other digital product teams, technology and strategy functions in an Agile environment; and externally with fintechs and platform / capability vendors.
The role will consist of high-level strategy and roadmap management as well as tactical execution, particularly in bringing initiatives from the ideation stage to the project launch. This individual will participate in defining, developing, and leading the implementation of product roadmaps and capabilities to support business and customer needs.
Responsibilities:
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for transfers and real-time payments, from ideation to launch and optimization.Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap aligned with customer needs, market trends, and business objectives.Lead cross-functional pods including engineering, design, compliance, and marketing to deliver high-quality payment solutions.Partner with fintechs and platform vendors to evaluate and integrate cutting-edge capabilities.Conduct market and competitive research to identify opportunities and inform product strategy.Define and track OKRs to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.Translate business strategy into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.Prioritize and manage the product backlog to ensure timely delivery of features.Support executive-level presentations and storytelling to communicate product vision and impact.Champion Human-Centered Design and data-driven decision-making to enhance customer experience.Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal risk policies.Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in product management within banking, fintech, or payments.Proven track record of launching and scaling digital payment products, especially ACH and RTP.Strong strategic thinking and ability to operate in ambiguous environments.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience working in Agile teams and leading cross-functional pods.Familiarity with payment networks, real-time rails, and regulatory frameworks.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field (MBA preferred).Some job boards have started using jobseeker-reported data to estimate salary ranges for roles.
