Consumer Data and Analytics - Data Visualization Director

Are you a skilled data professional with a passion for transforming raw data into actionable insights and a proven track record of learning and implementing new technologies? 

As an Analytical Solutions Director, within the Consumer Bank Team, you will play a key leadership role in understanding business needs, setting priorities for the development team while interacting with senior leaders across the organization and delivering key metrics to provide insights and enable consumer self-service.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage with senior leaders and key stakeholders to understand business needs and develop a comprehensive product roadmapSet clear objectives and key results to define priorities and success measures, leveraging a strong understanding of business, financial data, and technologies to make informed decisions that guide the team's direction.Hire, mentor, and motivate a highly skilled cross-functional team to ensure optimal performance, in order to prioritize development activities to maximize value delivery and lead data-driven analyses to support business objectives. Foster creativity and ingenuity to transform data interpretation and understanding and collaborate with Technology, Analytics, and Finance Teams to build an efficient infrastructure for dashboard development, ensuring robust controls. Source data from various information channels, track development and deployment timelines, and support the transition of production activities to Technology for newly developed dashboardsDirect the team in intelligence solution requirements gathering sessions with varying levels of leadership, complete detailed project planning utilizing JIRA to record planned project execution steps.Control testing of each component of the intelligence solution, providing evidence that all data and visualizations are delivering accurate insights and evidence in the control process.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or other quantitative or financial subject areas; Minimum of 10 years’ experience working with data analytics projects, preferably related to the financial services domain.Minimum 8 years’ experience developing advanced data visualizations and presentationsExperience with business intelligence analytics and data wrangling tools such as Alteryx, SAS, or Python.Experience with relational databases, optimizing SQL to pull and summarize large datasets, report creation, and ad-hoc analyses.Experience in reporting development and testing, with the ability to interpret unstructured data and draw objective inferences given known limitations of the data.Demonstrated ability to think beyond raw data and understand the underlying business context, identifying business opportunities hidden in data.Focus on controls and risk management, ensuring accurate results and flexibility to adapt to changing control requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, or other Cloud Data Warehouse platforms.Experience with Hive, SQL, Python, or other big-data query tools.Experience with ThoughtSpot or similar AI tools that empower stakeholders to self-serve and generate their own insights.Experience with Tableau
