As a Vice President, Assistant General Counsel in Consumer & Community Banking Litigation, you will handle litigation matters from beginning to end: retaining outside counsel, guiding them regarding strategy, reviewing briefs, assisting with discovery, and advising our clients as needed. You will manage defensive litigation filed against the bank involving Consumer, Business Banking, Auto, Credit Card, Commercial, and Asset Wealth Management, and advise our clients on legal risk, reporting, and issues related to litigation.

Job Responsibilities:
Managing actual and potential litigation and enforcement matters, including internal reviews and investigations related to such mattersAdvising on products and services, including contract negotiation and documentationAdvising on offering and marketing documents and new business initiativesManaging dispute resolutionInterpreting existing laws, rules, and regulations and advising on changes theretoAdvising on advocacy in connection with contemplated and proposed laws, rules, and regulationsProviding legal advice to the business and functions. Legal selects, engages, and manages outside counsel for the Firm on all matters in which outside counsel is engaged.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
At least 5 years of post-admission legal practicing experienceJD degree. All candidates must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employmentKnowledge of, and experience with, complex financial products and servicesAbility to assume significant independent responsibility immediatelyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsOutstanding organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneouslyAll candidates for roles in the Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
