**Consulting Engineer, STSM Agile Transformation Leader**
**POSITION PROFILE**
The Consulting Engineer, Senior Technical Staff Member (STSM) Agile Transformation Leader position recognizes an expert in agile methodologies and organizational transformation who will lead Ricoh Boulder Center's transition to SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). This role requires deep expertise in agile practices, change management, and technical systems to guide development teams through a comprehensive agile transformation. The STSM will establish standardized agile practices, implement OKR frameworks, and drive continuous improvement across hardware and software development teams. This position reports directly to executive leadership and influences enterprise-wide agile adoption strategies.
**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
• Lead the assessment, design, and implementation of a comprehensive agile transformation strategy, transitioning all teams from current mixed methodologies to unified agile practices, followed by full SAFe implementation
• Evaluate and modernize existing development processes, establishing standardized agile frameworks aligned with SAFe principles and OKR-based objective setting
• Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to hardware and software teams, addressing adoption challenges and building agile competency across the organization
• Design and implement PI (Program Increment) planning processes, establishing release trains and coordinating cross-functional team dependencies
• Assess current tool stack and recommend/implement optimized agile tooling solutions that support scaled agile practices
• Establish metrics and reporting frameworks to measure agile maturity, quality improvements, release predictability, and employee engagement
• Build and lead a network of agile champions, scrum masters, and product owners to sustain transformation momentum
• Collaborate with executive management to align agile transformation with business strategy and secure organizational commitment
• Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and documentation to accelerate agile adoption and ensure consistent practices
• Represent Ricoh as an agile thought leader at industry conferences and contribute to the broader agile community
• Extend agile practices to international teams as the transformation matures, ensuring global alignment and consistency
**QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)**
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 12-15 years of experience in software/hardware development and agile transformation
• SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification required; additional certifications (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP) preferred
• Proven track record leading large-scale agile transformations in technology organizations
• Direct experience implementing SAFe in organizations with 200+ employees
• Demonstrated expertise in OKR implementation and alignment
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
• Expert-level knowledge of multiple agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) with deep understanding of hardware/software development lifecycles
• Proven ability to assess organizational maturity and design phased transformation roadmaps
• Strong technical acumen to understand complex hardware/software systems and their development challenges
• Mastery of agile tools ecosystem with ability to architect integrated tooling solutions
• Exceptional change management and influence skills to drive adoption without direct authority
• Outstanding facilitation skills for PI planning, retrospectives, and large-scale workshops
• Data-driven approach to measuring and communicating transformation progress
• Experience building and mentoring agile coaching teams
• Ability to balance pragmatic implementation with agile principles in complex technical environments
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management capabilities

• Balance multiple concurrent transformation initiatives across diverse teams and time zones
• Travel to Ricoh locations globally as transformation expands
• Work in hybrid environments, leading both in-person and virtual agile ceremonies and coaching sessions
• Adapt communication styles to effectively engage technical teams, executives, and international colleagues
• Manage high-visibility initiatives with executive oversight while maintaining team morale and engagement
• Stay current with evolving agile practices and industry trends through continuous learning
