The **Consulting Program Manager** engages with customer stakeholders to develop partnerships, leveraging broad technical expertise. Drives customer satisfaction by engaging with customers stakeholders in a positive manner, reviewing and analyzing customer feedback, and leveraging trusted relationships with key internal resources to act as the voice of the customer. Adheres to project compliance standards and requirements of the contract and accommodates customer compliance standards.

**Responsibilities**
**Relationship Development:**
+ Adheres to project compliance standards (e.g., confidentiality, privacy) and requirements of the contract and accommodates customer compliance standards, including managing compliance-related complexities (e.g., high sensitivity to confidentiality). Champions compliance by contributing to knowledge sharing across teams to build compliance capability of others.
+ Drives customer satisfaction by representing Microsoft to senior customer stakeholders (e.g., Chief Executive-level), reviewing and analyzing customer feedback, and leveraging trusted relationships with senior internal resources to act as the voice of the customer and ensure resolution of challenged deliveries. Manages expectations with a high level of political sensitivity by anticipating customer reactions, interpreting small signals, and taking proactive steps accordingly. Oversees the creation of Success Expectations and customer and partner experience (CPE).
+ Engages with senior internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Chief Executive-level executives) as a peer with subject matter expertise. Prevents and manages escalated situations through strategic and targeted communications with senior stakeholders and delivers difficult messages as needed. Establishes governance to influence customer decision making and diffuses situations in escalations as needed.
+ Manages communications with senior stakeholders on project health, issues, and financial performance for large and/or complex deals throughout entire project lifecycle, tailoring communications to the audience, anticipating stakeholder requirements, and adapting the plan accordingly. Establishes formal rhythms to ensure tracking and maintenance of customer deliverables and collect and report status with all important stakeholders.
**Business Growth:**
+ Looks for or creates opportunities to maximize timely cloud consumption through current deliveries. Identifies new opportunities with customers and facilitates follow up conversations with customers on Consumption both strategically and operational, and to accelerate delivery or prevent delivery delays.
+ Demonstrates accountability for the financial health of a project or program (e.g., revenue attainment, accurate forecasting, cost management, and utilization, skills, and capacity planning). Identifies opportunities to accelerate and drive consumption and delivery. Owns and drives backlog risk management. Drives incremental business on top of existing projects and programs through next step proposals, conducts customer discussions related to next stage proposal (NSP) and other opportunities. Engages in the pursuit cycle to ensure deals are structured appropriately. Supports and contributes to rhythm of business (ROB) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) forecasting.
+ Contributes across teams to share knowledge and support others (e.g., All Hands, other team meetings) by serving as a thought leader or subject matter expert for a specific industry, invests in others through team or regional initiatives to develop capabilities, and provides cross-border mentoring and peer alignment to share lessons learned on challenging projects.

**Qualifications**
**Required/m** **inimum qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 5+ years experience in project management OR equivalent experience.
+ Experience managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder programs in defense, intelligence, or national security sectors.
**Other Requirements:**
Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
+ The successful candidate must have an active **U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance** . Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
+ **Clearance Verification** : This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
+ **Microsoft Cloud Background Check:** This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
+ **Citizenship & Citizenship Verification:** This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government Clearance.
**Additional or preferred qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 12+ years experience in project management OR equivalent experience.
+ 3+ years supporting U.S. federal government programs.
+ 6+ years financial management experience.
+ Agile certification, Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Professional Scrum Master One (PSM1) certification, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
+ Working knowledge of AI/ML technologies, data pipelines, and mission analytics platforms.
+ Experience with cybersecurity frameworks.
+ Familiarity with secure cloud architectures, hybrid cloud deployments, and FedRAMP compliance.
**Consulting Project Management IC5** - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $122,500 - $214,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $154,500 - $231,700 per year.
