Nutanix is looking for an experienced Consulting Architect with Technical Account Management (TAM) capabilities to join our Professional Services organization. In this hybrid role, you will work closely with enterprise customers, leading the design and deployment of complex IT infrastructure solutions while serving as a trusted advisor. You will help shape technical strategy, ensure successful implementations, and provide proactive guidance throughout the customer lifecycle.
About the Team
The Nutanix Professional Services team delivers a strong influence on the success of each Nutanix implementation by its customers. The Services function ensures success by engaging with customers in the pre-sales and post-sales stages by assisting in their software-defined data center (SDDC) strategy and architecture. Besides helping customers implement Nutanix products successfully, the Professional Services team, working with our partners, ensures customer success in fully implementing their virtualized and software-defined data centers. The Nutanix Professional Services Consulting function includes assessment, design, implementation, integration, and automation services as well as project management.
Your Role
Lead customer-facing consulting engagements, including discovery workshops, assessments, and design sessions, focusing on virtualization, automation, and software-defined infrastructure.Architect, document, and implement complex, scalable solutions across multi-site, hybrid cloud, and on-premises environments.Serve as a trusted technical advisor by developing a deep understanding of each customer’s business priorities, IT landscape, and data center strategy.Take ownership of business outcomes for projects, ensuring successful delivery through technical leadership, governance, and hands-on implementation.Conduct regular health checks, operational reviews, and technical planning meetings to identify risks, recommend improvements, and ensure platform stability.Proactively advocate for the customer within Nutanix, coordinating with Support, Engineering, Product Management, and Sales to resolve issues and enhance satisfaction.Monitor and mitigate operational risks through awareness of known product issues, service advisories, and early-access information.Facilitate deployment and migration activities, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with best practices.Collaborate with Project Managers to manage budgets, timelines, and scope while ensuring high-quality outcomes.Identify and develop future service opportunities by maintaining commercial awareness and customer intimacy.Contribute to internal practice development by capturing intellectual property, conducting peer reviews, and sharing best practices.Participate in sales account planning and support pipeline growth through technical insights and consultative engagement.Maintain expert-level knowledge of the Nutanix product stack and contribute feedback to product and engineering teams.Travel to customer sites (up to 30%) to reinforce relationships, lead engagements, and conduct in-person reviews and workshops.
What You Will Bring
High Security Clearance (Level 2) – mandatory for engagement in sensitive environments.Language Skills: Fluent in Hebrew and English.8+ years of experience in enterprise IT consulting, technical architecture, or customer-facing roles within complex infrastructure environments.Deep technical expertise in virtualization technologies, including Nutanix AHV, VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and hyper-converged infrastructure.Strong background in designing and implementing Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) architectures across compute, storage, and networking.Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure, and designing hybrid or multi-cloud solutions.Proficiency in automation and scripting using tools such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, and Jenkins.Working knowledge of containers and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with DevOps practices and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, CI/CD, and Lean.Experience supporting or deploying enterprise applications like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Exchange, SAP, Splunk, or VDI in large-scale environments.Strong understanding of data center operations including DR/HA, backup, performance tuning, security, and monitoring.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical writing skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Proven ability to manage escalations, lead troubleshooting efforts, and provide proactive risk mitigation.Experience in customer success or relationship management roles such as TAM, CSM, or SE is a plus.Certifications such as Nutanix NCP/NCS, VMware VCAP, LPIC, MSCA, CCNA, or equivalent are highly desirable.Solid background in both Linux and Windows systems administration.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field—or equivalent practical experience.
