We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Consulting Application Engineer will be responsible for leading development efforts, driving adoption and appropriate use of technology and consulting on development efforts to ensure code quality and sound architecture. The Integrated Scheduling and Staffing (ISAS) platform, in conjunction with HCA Healthcare’s Scheduling application (FS), is intended to effectively support enterprise-wide labor management activities and improve operational efficiencies in facility staffing, while maintaining a standard of patient care. This role will be responsible for providing technical oversight as it pertains to effective delivery, deployment, documentation, and maintenance of ISAS products. This role requires effective communication skills, problem solving, willingness to learn modern technologies, and regular knowledge sharing with teammates. **MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES** Design, develop and test application code. Take a lead role on development teams, providing guidance on software architecture, design decisions, and mentoring. Manage the design and coding of software from concept to finished product. Creates and maintains application documentation in Confluence. Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Evaluate new tools, platforms, and approaches for potential implementation and recommend innovative solutions to improve patient experience and outcomes. Develop, propose, and provide guidance on implementation of large IT and Business initiatives. Work with other support developers, system administrators, database administrators, network engineers, security, and vendors as required to determine integration requirements between systems and vendor applications. Perform Unit Testing and participating in Peer/Code Reviews of other developers work. Provide technical and software support to customer efforts and provide on call problem resolution for production problems as required. Manage multiple priorities and multi-task. Continuously review, propose, and execute opportunities to optimize the processes that affect the included solutions. Leads meetings with purpose, ensures documentation of outcomes, action items and next steps. Take ownership of responsibilities, working individually or with teams to accomplish goals. **What qualifications you will need:** **EDUCATION** Bachelor’s Degree - Required **EXPERIENCE** 7 or more years of relevant work experience **OTHER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE** Strong experience with C# .NET, ASP.NET, MVC, NHibernate Strong experience with Databases like MS SQL, DB2, Oracle JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, AJAX, Angular, React Working knowledge with Azure and GCP cloud environments preferred Excellent communication and people skills Experience with Agile and Software Development Life Cycle, various development methodologies, and able to independently participate in each phase.
