Inviting applications for the role of Consultant - Qualys Administrator

Proactive and detail-oriented Qualys Administrator to support our vulnerability management operations. This role involves day-to-day administration of the Qualys platform, including patch management, asset inventory, and agent deployment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT infrastructure and security fundamentals, with a willingness to grow into more advanced responsibilities. Basic scripting knowledge in Python is a plus.

Responsibilities:
• Perform routine administration and monitoring of the Qualys platform.
• Assist in configuring and maintaining Qualys modules such as VMDR, Patch Management, and Asset Inventory.
• Respond to and resolve support tickets related to Qualys operations.
• Maintain and update asset groups and tags within Qualys.
• Ensure accurate asset discovery and classification.
• Assist in syncing asset data with external systems (e.g., CMDB).
• Support deployment and troubleshooting of Qualys Cloud Agents across various platforms.
• Monitor agent health and coverage.
• Assist in automating agent deployment processes.
• Basic understanding of Python scripting to assist with automation and reporting tasks.
• Willingness to learn and grow scripting skills for future automation initiatives.
• Maintain and update asset groups and tags within Qualys.
• Ensure accurate asset discovery and classification.
• Assist in syncing asset data with external systems (e.g., CMDB).
• Create custom reports and alerts to support security operations.
• Document findings, remediation plans, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Support compliance audits by providing evidence of security controls and processes.

Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Hands-on experience with Qualys platform.
• Strong knowledge of patch management and asset inventory processes.
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments
• Excellent communication and training skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge and experience in AI and machine learning technologies applied to cybersecurity.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Exposure to Python scripting or willingness to learn.
• Experience with Qualys APIs or other vulnerability management tools.
• Basic understanding of ITIL processes and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Security certifications (Qualys certifications) are a plus.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving skills, including the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines while managing multiple tasks with competing priorities.
