Consultant Psychiatrist – Addictions

We’re looking for a Consultant Addictions Psychiatrist to join Change Grow Live (CGL) and play a pivotal role in our Barnet service. Where: Hendon, Barnet
Part-Time Hours: 15 hours per week
Full Time Salary: £138,714.28 - £149,713.64 depending on experience, pro rata for part time hours
Contract Type: Permanent
*please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
About the role:
Provide regular clinical input to the service through conducting specialist clinics that offer assessment and evidence-based treatment interventionsEnsure that service users consistently receive high quality services that adhere to the best practice guidelines and achieve high professional standardsResponsible for providing clinical supervision to prescribing staff and oversee practice within the service is in line with organisational policies, objectives and valuesProvide a clinical assessment, including relevant psychiatric and physical investigation, of a wide range of service users with substance misuse issues presenting to the serviceTake an active part in the implementation, adherence and development of internal and external clinical governance procedures
About you:
Medical Degree and completion of Basic Medical TrainingFull GMC - UK Registration with License to PracticeMRCPsych or equivalent qualificationConsultant Psychiatrist on the GMC specialist register with an endorsement in Substance MisuseGood understanding and knowledge of addiction psychiatry including management of opiate substitution therapy, opiate and alcohol detoxification and post detoxification pharmacologyAble to work flexibly across operational sites as specified in the servicedelivery model and work flexibly within an agreed number of hours to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision.Experience of working with substance misuse and mental health issues and a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality servicesSound and demonstrable knowledge of clinical prescribing issues
