Job Description: Finance Functional Consultant – D365 Finance & Operations Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Functional Consultant – D365 Finance & Operations who will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing financial modules within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. The role requires close collaboration with clients to understand financial processes, configure the system accordingly, and ensure smooth adoption through training and support.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with clients to gather, analyze, and document financial requirements and business processes.
System Configuration: Configure and customize financial modules within D365 F&O (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting).
Implementation: Lead end-to-end implementation of financial modules, ensuring alignment with client needs.
Testing: Develop, execute, and validate test scenarios to ensure system accuracy and compliance.
Training & Support: Provide user training, documentation, and post-implementation support to ensure successful adoption.
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend best practices.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive configuration, process, and user documentation.
Must to Have (Required Skills & Qualifications)
Strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations financial modules (General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting).
Solid understanding of core finance principles and accounting practices.
Hands-on experience with D365 F&O configuration, customization, and financial workflows.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to resolve issues effectively.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to engage with both business and technical stakeholders.
Project management experience in ERP/D365 implementations (planning, execution, monitoring).
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
Good to Have (Preferred Skills & Experience)
D365 F&O or Microsoft Dynamics certifications (Finance/ERP-related).
Prior consulting experience working with clients on ERP/D365 implementations.
Knowledge of industry-specific financial processes (e.g., manufacturing, retail, services).
Exposure to integration with other ERP modules (Supply Chain, Procurement, etc.).
Experience in change management and end-user training.
Strong documentation skills for creating user manuals and process flows.
