WSIs core organizational values of being loyal, caring, and forthright have enabled our agency to enact the Injured Worker Assistance Program to allow for financial counseling for certain injured workers with a compensable claim. This financial counseling will help injured workers adjust to potential income fluctuations and overall financial planning while missing work due to a workplace injury. The following background information is intended to help respondents understand the needs of the STATE. Administrative Rule 92-01-02-24 #8 states “The organization may provide certain selected services to assist an injured employee and the injured employees family with coping and financial strategies while in the recovery process. The recovery process includes the medical recovery, the ability to return to gainful employment, and the need for financial stability. The services may include up to six sessions with a contracted behavioral health professional, and up to four sessions with a contracted financial services professional. Injured employee participation in these sessions is voluntary. The granting or denial of contemplated services is not appealable, and costs of the program will be made against the general fund. WSI has contracts in place for behavioral health counseling services. However, WSI contracted financial counseling service is no longer available, and information is being sought to fulfill that portion of the Administrative Rule. 2.02 Information Requesting: STATE is requesting information to ascertain the financial counseling services available to fulfill the financial counseling services portion of the Administrative Rule. The information could include locations of financial counseling services, fees associated with providing services, the credentials of personnel that could provide services, technological capabilities in providing services remotely (if needed or requested), organizational purpose and/or values of the organizations that could provide the services, and any other information that the organization fulfilling this RFI may deem relevant or applicable. Offeror will be unable to seek payment from individual injured employees in connection with the financial counseling services provided. STATE will not pay for services outside of the four counseling sessions. Call502-379-4456 Ext 100for more details. Please provide Requirement id: 154732 while calling.
