Role: Senior Network Engineer (Level 3) - Cisco Infrastructure
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer (Level 3) to join our Healthcare Technology team in Dallas, Texas. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Cisco network infrastructure supporting critical healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with enterprise-grade Cisco technologies and a strong understanding of healthcare compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Management
Design, configure, and maintain enterprise Cisco routing and switching infrastructure including Catalyst 9000 series switches, ISR and ASR routersImplement and manage Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) fabric solutions for data center operationsAdminister Cisco Meraki SD-WAN deployment across multiple healthcare facilitiesConfigure and optimize VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN solutions for branch connectivityPerform advanced troubleshooting of complex network issues using protocol analyzers and Cisco diagnostic tools
Healthcare-Specific Network Operations
Ensure network infrastructure meets HIPAA compliance requirements and healthcare industry standardsDesign and implement network segmentation for medical devices, EMR systems, and patient data protectionSupport mission-critical healthcare applications with 99.9% uptime requirementsCoordinate network maintenance windows to minimize impact on patient care operationsImplement and maintain network security policies for protected health information (PHI)
SD-WAN and Cloud Connectivity
Deploy and optimize Cisco Meraki SD-WAN solutions for multi-site healthcare network connectivityConfigure VeloCloud orchestrator and edge devices for reliable branch office connectivityImplement dynamic path selection and application-aware routing for healthcare applicationsMonitor and optimize WAN performance for telemedicine and real-time patient monitoring systems
Technical Skills
Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field8+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise networking technologiesExpert-level knowledge of Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS operating systemsProven experience with Cisco ACI fabric design, implementation, and troubleshootingHands-on experience with Cisco Meraki SD-WAN deployment and managementWorking knowledge of VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN platformStrong understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and switching technologiesExperience with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible preferred)Disclaimer

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
