Position Title Consultant, Inventory Analytics Function/Group Global Planning Hub – Supply Supply Chain Location Powai, Mumbai Shift Timing 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST Role Reports to Sr. Manager - Supply Planning Remote/Hybrid/in-Office Hybrid: Currently 2 days in a week but need to adhere if it changes in future. JOB OVERVIEW Function Overview The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. This collaborative approach ensures a well-coordinated supply chain that aligns with both organizational goals and dynamic market conditions. Purpose of the role Primary objectives in this role would be to · Lead the process to develop optimized Inventory targets/recommendations for Finished Goods, & SEMIS (WIP) Leveraging Inventory Optimization tool incorporating supply chain strategies, product characteristics, segmentation, service goals, lead-time etc. · Develop and support capabilities within inventory management that enables better cost-service trade off decisions. · Work closely with OMP and D&T to develop and deliver IO (inventory optimization) module · Support inventory governance across supply chain by considering latest supply chain strategies, product characteristics & segmentation, service goals, lead-time, and supply chain cost. · Identify opportunities while driving efficiency and innovation across value chain in inventory management. · Drive process improvements and lead inventory analytics projects. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 70 % Bandwidth: Deliver Inventory Analytics Projects and develop capabilities · Identify and drive new capabilities and initiatives within the team · Conceptualize, prototype, test advance capabilities · Collaborate with D&T on process improvement initiatives and to improve IO capabilities to serve business aptly. · Derive analytical approach towards problem solving · Provide feasible solution to stakeholder(s) and technical support during implementation · Identify inventory reduction opportunities · Maintain project management documentation 20 % Bandwidth: Stakeholder management · Collaborate with stakeholders to identify focus areas · Understand stakeholder needs related to current supply chain challenges · Interact with cross functional teams/stakeholders to share opportunity areas and help them to reduce the losses 10 % Bandwidth: Learning and Development Initiatives · Support a sustainable onboarding and process documentation process · Conduct knowledge sharing sessions, technical trainings MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education : Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors Work Experience Minimum years of related experience required: 3+ years total experience in analytics/consulting/supply chain Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics concepts Strong understanding of inventory management concepts – Inventory replenishment models, Components of inventory, Inventory policies and strategies Satisfactory understanding of statistics basics – probability distributions, correlations. Strong analytical ability to translate data into actionable information Strong problem-solving skills to convert complex problems into feasible solutions Strong understanding of finished goods inventory components and formulas for target setting calculations Strong MS Excel and analysis skills (i.e., skilled at pivot table, charts, and graphs) Preferred experience in VBA, macros, SQL, Tableau, R and Python Competencies/Behaviors required for job : Deliver outstanding results: Completes tasks, activities, and projects in a timely and effective manner.
