Inviting applications for the role of Consultant – Infrastructure Engineer
This role is responsible for global architectural design, the implementation, the efficient operation of the Logical Infrastructure Applications and related services by installing and/or maintaining Logical Infrastructure Applications and Services and related technologies as well as analyzing and resolving related problems. Responsible for service delivery and support, including configuration, incident, problem, release, change, availability, capacity and continuity management within Service Level Objectives.
The Logical Infrastructure Applications and Services for which this role is responsible include both on-premises and cloud-based applications and services including but not limited to: Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Conditional Access; Azure MFA, Microsoft 365 Services (Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, SharePoint and related services). Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft System Center Suite (SCSM, Orchestrator/SMA. SCOM, SCCM), Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Microsoft Azure IaaS Services, Microsoft Azure PaaS Services, and related Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft DNS, WINS, DHCP, DFS, GPO, Active Directory Certificate Services, Microsoft PowerShell, Windows File Print Services, Microsoft Universal Print, Remote Desktop Services, Microsoft Windows (Desktop OS) and Microsoft Applications (formerly Microsoft Office). Non-Microsoft Applications and Services include Citrix Virtual Apps, JAMF Pro for macOS, macOS, iOS and iPadOS.
Develops and maintains software/service configuration for Infrastructure Applications and Services. Documents the configuration management and implementation tasks to ensure compliance with corporate standards and to meet end-user, entity or business unit requirements. Works closely with application owners to understand business process flows, evaluates how the software or service can be configured to support flows, and possibly recommends changes to process flows to improve efficiency or to conform to corporate standards. Evaluates existing process flows, recommends changes to process flows to improve efficiency, if needed and determines their impact on software configuration. Tests all configuration changes to determine the immediate impact and for possible up- and down-stream impact on the enterprise. Develops IT standards for company-wide use.
Responsibilities:
Designs and implements software/service configuration for Infrastructure Applications and Services.
Supports Corporate Applications with Infrastructure Engineering and Implementation.
Collaborate with Logical Infrastructure Team and Corporate IT Director, Infrastructure Engineering to define, prioritize, develop, and deploy new or updated Logical Infrastructure Service offerings.
Documents the configuration management and implementation tasks to ensure compliance with corporate standards and to meet end-user, Commercial Organization or Product Group requirements.
Works closely with application and service owners to understand business process flows, evaluates how the software or service can be configured to support flows, and possibly recommends changes to process flows to improve efficiency or to conform to corporate standards.
Evaluates existing process flows, recommends changes to process flows to improve efficiency, if needed and determines their impact on software configuration.
Tests all configuration changes to determine the immediate impact and for possible up- and down-stream impact on the enterprise.
Ability to think strategically and evaluate options in the short, medium and long term.
Ability to cope in a technically complex and fast-changing environment, and to respond calmly and rationally to changing aspirations in a deadline-driven situations.
Strong planning and organizing skills including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically both in writing and verbally.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training, certified in relevant technologies, with good years of experience.
Broad technical range, solid understanding of and interaction between different Logical Infrastructure Applications and Services.
Must have a minimum of years of experience engineering solutions in the previously defined Logical Infrastructure Applications and Services.
Must have hands on experience with Microsoft 365 Services
Must have knowledge of Monitoring tools (i.e. SCOM, Azure Log Analytics)
Strong engineering and troubleshooting skills
Must be able to engage in problem-solving skills to help identify and solve potential issues
Preferred: MCSE preferred
Preferred qualifications / Skills
Very good written and presentation / verbal communication skills with experience of customer interfacing role. In-depth requirement understanding skills with good analytical and problem-solving ability, interpersonal efficiency, and positive attitude
