We are committed to simplifying and automating processes to enhance our operations and better serve our partners and clients. As a Consultant, Strategic Initiatives, you will lead complex projects to design and implement strategic solutions aligned with the team’s mandate. Leveraging self-serve tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, VBA, Alteryx, Azure DevOps, and Tableau, you will deliver targeted business outcomes and support end-to-end process transformation as a subject matter expert in both business and technology. You will collaborate with a diverse team to develop innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class stakeholder experience, connecting multiple data sources and consulting with senior management on the application of both existing and emerging infrastructure technologies. This includes translating user requirements into process and data requirements, developing impactful business solutions, and making technology selection decisions in evolving business environments. Success in this role requires strong business analytics skills, an automation mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Flexibility, adaptability, and creative problem-solving are essential. You will provide post-implementation support, follow best practices for change management, and assist in resolving both routine and non-routine operational challenges by investigating, analyzing, and offering informed recommendations on compliance and operational control activities. _At CIBC, we support a work environment that enables you to thrive in your role. Additional on-site days may be required subject to business needs._ **How You’ll Succeed** + **Strategic Development & Execution:** Lead and coordinate complex solution design activities aligned with our transformation roadmap by translating business requirements into system and application designs. Document technical functionality, architecture, interfaces, and integrations to deliver cost-effective, innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency. + **Analytical Thinking:** Interpret complex information, identify patterns and trends in strategic areas, and develop actionable recommendations—often with minimal direction—to address urgent business priorities. + **Automation Development:** Develop self-serve automation capabilities using tools such as MS Power Apps, MS Power Automate, Alteryx, and Azure DevOps. + **Reporting and Business Intelligence:** Create and maintain reports, data cubes, and performance dashboards to provide senior management with high-level visibility into business performance, utilizing BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau. + **Project Delivery:** Lead critical projects to enhance or upgrade products, processes, programs, or services by researching relevant data and delivering effective solutions. + **Stakeholder Management:** Facilitate design review sessions with project teams to ensure alignment with business and architectural requirements, and promote knowledge sharing and collaboration. **Who You Are** + **You can demonstrate experience** in designing, developing, implementing and supporting applications with expertise in most of the following: No/Low Code Tools (VBA, Alteryx, Power Automate, Power App), Analytics Software (Tableau, Power BI), Databases (SAS, SQL Server), and other tools such as Azure DevOps and Selenium. + **You have a degree/diploma in a technical discipline.** Experience with machine learning or AI is an asset.
