Experienced software engineer providing specialist expertise, provides day-to-day oversight to junior team members. Software Engineering Specialist is responsible to bring deep technical expertise to advance software development practices and delivering high-quality solutions tailored to Colt’s requirements. They provide necessary technical leadership to the teams and collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide technical input.

What will you do

• Leadership & Management:
Lead architecture and design discussions with business stakeholders, technical architects, technical teams, and developers.
Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce developers and administrators, providing technical guidance and support.
Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, design, and architecture.
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources effectively.

• Platform Development & Customisation:
Design and implement scalable, high-performing Salesforce solutions aligned with business objectives.
Develop and maintain Salesforce solution roadmaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategies.
Design and develop custom solutions on the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and integrations.
Build and customize community and portal solutions using Salesforce Experience Cloud.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within the Salesforce environment.
Implement and maintain Salesforce configurations, custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and other standard functionalities.
Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud and other systems using APIs, middleware, and third-party tools.
Stay updated with Salesforce innovations and emerging technologies to optimize solutions.
Support business teams in identifying opportunities for automation and process improvements.
DevOps and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) processes

• Quality Assurance:
Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security.
Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance tests.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce applications and integrations.
Documentation & Training:
Create and maintain technical documentation for Salesforce solutions and integrations.
Provide training and support to end-users and team members on Salesforce functionalities and best practices.

What we are looking for 10-12 years of experience in Salesforce development and architecture. Proven experience leading and managing a team of developers. Proficiency in Salesforce platforms such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud and CRM Analytics. Experience in multi-cloud Salesforce implementations. Extensive experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web components, Salesforce Flows and Salesforce integrations. Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, design patterns, and development methodologies. Experience with integration tools such as Mulesoft, WebMethods, REST/SOAP APIs, and ETL solutions. Deep understanding of data integrity, security and compliance standards within the Salesforce ecosystem. Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web services. Knowledge and ability to follow SDLC as well as Agile/Scrum methodologies. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for Salesforce. Knowledge of AI-driven Salesforce solutions such as Einstein Analytics. Experience in standard operating procedures to perform pre and post-production support activities.
