Overview
The Consultant of Reconciliations is responsible for the oversight of the entire Reconciliation process ensuring the Investment Book of Records is in line with the Custody Book of Records. Any discrepancies are thoroughly researched and resolved and/or escalated to subject owners in a timely manner. Key focus on risk both in age as well as value of discrepancies.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform daily oversight and reconciliation to 13,000 portfolios.
Ensure all unresolved exceptions are timely escalated and followed-up for closures.
Serve as a subject matter expert for Portfolio Administration Reconciliation groups.
Solving ad hoc issues and request raised by Portfolio Managers
Work closely with management on projects with the ability to lead.
Training and knowledge share with peers.
Identify areas of improvement in reconciliation process and recommend solutions to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and control.
Necessary Experience, Knowledge & Skills
4+ years of reconciliation experience.
Strong base knowledge in both Fixed Income and Equity Products.
Experience with reconciliation platforms such as Aladdin, Eagle, FIS Global Invest One, and SmartStream TLM.
Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Salary Range:
$74,200 - 126,200 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
