Short Description Responsible for the technical implementation of the non-standard and complex customer solutionJob Summary

The Consultant, Professional Services will be responsible for the design, implement and support of all Network solution engagements in Asia.  They will act as the primary interface into the Sales and Product organisations, and will work closely with key customers to understand their overarching needs.  They will collaborate closely with the other Professional Services and O&E functions to create the right solution to meet the customer’s requirements, with a focus on cost, quality and governance of critical timelines.

Job Description

Interpret Customer needs, assessing the full requirements, identifying solutions to standard and non-standard requirements
Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives. Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Represent as SME and work on the requirements coming through RFPs along with sales and customers..
Deliver complete technology solutions and provide post-installation technical support
Utilize expertise to provide adequate technical support to customer post implementation of the solution with solution engineer, Tier 1/2 teams and relevant internal teams.
Develop and maintain network documentation.
Work with various network technologies, such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless devices, and cloud platforms.
Able to take the lead and inspire trust and confidence from both customers and colleagues within Colt – particularly in time pressured environment
Used to working in an international environment and matrix management of multi-discipline teams
Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of non-standard technical solutions.
In pre-sales, developing customised technical solutions that address client needs effectively.
Possessing a deep understanding of relevant technologies, systems, and platforms.
Creating comprehensive solution designs, including architecture, specifications, and technical documentation.
Ensuring that designs align with industry standards and security best practices.
Leading technical customer workshops either in pre-sales or post-sales.
Managing customer acceptance for non-standard components of the solution.
Native/Fluent Japanese along with minimum business level English is a must

 

Critical Expertise and Experience:
•    10+ years’ experience in IP network design and Operations 
•    CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued)
•    Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
•    Solid understanding of the TCP/IP model
•    Proven hands-on network engineering experience
•    Excellent communication skills and negotiation skills
•    University degree in Computer Science or a related subject
•    Native/Fluent in Japanese language at both writing and speaking, with a strong understanding of local culture
•    Business-Level English at a level to be able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
In addition, you are:
•    A robust, dynamic self-starter with imagination and vision
•    Willing to be flexible to get the work done and able to prioritise and plan time effectively,
•    Able to communicate clearly and succinctly, including the ability to deliver difficult messages in a positive way,
•    Have strong interpersonal skills and able to build a positive team culture in a global team and cross-cultural environment as well as a customer focused culture,
•    Have commercial acumen 
•    Results-focused, efficient, and pragmatic
•    Able to support a strategic vision and think globally with a strong sense for entrepreneurship.
•    Able and willing to travel when required.
