Consultant, Legal Invoice Review

As a **Consultant, Legal Invoice Review,** you will be responsible for performing the quality assurance testing for the Legal Bill Analysis Center of Excellence (LBACOE). The Legal Bill Analysis (“LBA”) process involves the prompt, accurate and efficient auditing of electronically submitted legal fee and expense invoices submitted by law firms and vendors of our clients. You will also be responsible for supporting the appeals mediation efforts of the LBACOE by extracting core legal concepts at the heart of the invoices.
In this role you will report to the Manager, Consulting; and work a hybrid schedule (two days in the office).
**Responsibilities:**
• Conduct review of LBACOE Legal Invoice Analysts’ line-item adjustments and non-adjusted invoice lines.
• Draft client reports and assist in presentation development.
• Verify the compliance to legal billing guidelines by law firms and vendors submitting invoices.
• Communicate and calibrate with audit team and appeals team members.
• Coordinate project timelines and track milestones.
• Support development of business process models and documentation.
• Use legal knowledge and careful discretion to make corrections to adjusted and non-adjusted invoice lines as needed.
• Help in the preparation and delivery of training materials.
• Manage project-related communications with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide support in quality assurance and project reviews.
