What you'll be doing


You’ll be joining CIBC’s Capital Markets team, specifically within the Alternate Solutions Group. You’ll be at the heart of CIBC’s integrated set of touchless banking services focused on building deep and loyal relationships with digital-savvy, value-conscious consumers. Within a team of senior team members, you’ll broaden your technical skills and help build the bank of the future working in an agile and modular approach to strategy and technology supporting and maintaining the test environment infrastructure for ASG. The Consultant, Infrastructure Management is responsible for providing subject matter expertise to design, implement, and support infrastructure and configuration management for Test environment and incident processes. The role works on resolving technical issues by setting up troubleshooting bridges, creating change requests for test environment deployment on Service Now tool, providing technical guidance related to deployment, environment and application config, infrastructure on incident resolution to ASG project teams during the design, build and test phase of projects and initiatives. The Consultant, Infrastructure Management resolves technical issues to determine root causes, recommending solutions with the general guidance from the test director and development team. This role also coordinates and provide support during various BAU planned activities related to operating system/application upgrades and certificate renewals.

How you'll succeed

QA Infrastructure management : Perform and coordinate infrastructure upgrades, set up troubleshooting bridges if QA environments are impacted by internal or external issues to recovery, co-ordination certificate installation, document the QA environment infrastructure inventory for test environments, manage the allocation of those environments for ASG projects, creating change requests for deployments in all test environments on Service Now tool. Lead the maintenance and management design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions. Systems Implementation: Understand and participate the technical design, and integration of cross functional, multi-platform application systems. Oversee test environment operational activities, including incident management (notification/communication, resolution, root cause determination), change management, certificate management, deviation management, risk management and knowledge management.Planning and Coordination: Effectively interact with internal Finance stakeholders, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather information related to incident assigned and prepare root cause analysis for test environment issues. Effectively coordinating over troubleshooting bridge and sending notifications to all impacted stakeholders timely.

Who you are

You can demonstrate experience in: at least 3-4 years working with Linux/Unix operating system, incident management, change management. Ideally, you have experience in Certificate management, Azure cloud, , Dynatrace for monitoring (or equivalent monitoring technology) , Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies (Waterfall, Hybrid and Agile). You’re familiar with using Agile tools like Jira for story management , confluence for knowledge management and Service Now for Change managementYou embrace and advocate change.
