What You’ll Be Doing


As a Consultant, Environment Management you will join Capital Markets Technology team to contribute in planning, delivering and maintaining Environments for QA, DEV and Business Partners. You will be responsible for utilizing existing and/or adopting new tools and processes, with an overall focus in ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery of projects to meet business objective. Ideally, you should have a passion for exploring innovative solutions in a complex environment and have previous experience working with cloud technologies in a large organization.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-2 day per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How You’ll Succeed

Environment Maintenance, Monitoring and Currency: Ensure that all environments are properly provisioned, maintained, updated, and monitored to ensure stability, reliability, and optimal performance. This includes managing hardware, network configurations, dependencies, patches, and updates. Monitoring and Issue Resolution: Monitor environment performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Coordinate the troubleshooting and resolution of any issues or conflicts that arise in the environments, working closely with development and operations teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions ultimately driving down repeat incidents/problems.Strategy & Process Enhancements: Develop and implement best practices for environment management, including automation and standardization. Identify opportunities to improve environment stability, scalability, and efficiency.

Who You Are

You can demonstrate at least 3 years of scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python) for automation. Along with Autosys and T-SQL. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools. Strong Asset if you have experience with Azure DevOps. You have the proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment on multiple initiatives at a time, along with hands-on execution.You embrace and champion change.
