**What you'll be doing**
You’ll be joining **CIBC’s Capital Markets Technology, Enterprise Solutions, Risk Management & Treasury Trading Enterprise Solutions** Team. As a **Business Systems Analyst** , you’re responsible for providing technical expertise for service delivery and operations for the project management office tools and systems. The role works on complex issues involving one or more technical areas, mentoring employees and performing tasks of advanced technical depth and breadth. The Business Systems Analyst exercises independent judgement to continuously improve the existing program and project management discipline, providing consulting to IT and Business Management on applying technology to business opportunities, planning and implementation. The role devises new methods and procedures using strong analytic and inductive thinking, facilitating the application of new technologies to support existing processes.

**How you'll succeed**
+ **Understanding and documenting requirements -** Work closely with business partners to gather complicated business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Create strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.
+ **Solution design -** Assemble client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
+ **Leading and mentoring** – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.
**Who you are**
+ **You can demonstrate experience with:** 5+ years in a BSA role **,** preferably with Capital Markets technology **.** Candidates with Capital Markets experience are highly encouraged to apply **.** Excellent abilities to manage stakeholders and having strong communication skills is a must along with the ability to elicit requirements and write strong documentation. You have strong abilities around analyzing and understanding data, as well as gap analysis expertise. You are proficient with SQL, Excel pivot tables, Visio, and other Microsoft office applications. You have strong problem-solving skills, stakeholder management abilities, and exceptional organizational skills.
