Role/ Department:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing/providing input and support to the day to day operations around the delivery of AML services to the business.
As part of the Investor AML Operations team supporting Guernsey clients, the role requires the completion of a workload, with guidance from colleagues and line management, to support all aspects of AML of investors in line with:
AML Legislation/Regulation & Guidance/Best PracticeThe Investor AML Department’s processes and proceduresIn addition, the role requires partners to hold, build and maintain strong relationships with Northern Trust internal departments, as well as other key stakeholders, to deliver a robust AML service to Northern Trust’s client and investor base.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Responsible for managing the day-to-day AML Operations for respective client/s.Able to serve as a key subject matter expert in client and investor engagement, liaise with offshore partners and mentor other more junior level employees.Responsible for staying current on regulatory rules and changes within the industry. Maintains an up to date knowledge of AML regulation and best practice and uses this knowledge to promote enhancements to Northern Trust’s AML processes and procedures.Manages and performs special projects as assigned.Participates in meetings with teams, clients and other stakeholders on detailed status updates.Works with colleagues and line management in reviewing investor documentation and efficiently sourcing outstanding investor due diligence documentation (if any) with professionalism and timely escalation of material issues arising. Subsequently applies analytical skills to review Investor AML information and determines potential areas of deficiency. This includes performing effective and thorough risk assessments of investor profiles.Actively participates in AML operations quality control review of investor documentation for investors, in adherence with Northern Trust’s AML policy and procedures. Completes and compiles a high-quality summary of findings and recommendations for review in a concise and professional manner.Responds to internal and external inquiries related to Anti Money Laundering requirements for investors with efficiency and professionalism, with support from line management where required.Escalates and assists with the resolution of more complex problems and critical issues.Works with management to ensure that the Investor AML Operations team meets the required audit, risk and compliance standards as determined, from time to time, in accordance with changes in legislation and guidance.Skills/ Qualifications:
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
Functional / Industry knowledge is required, with substantial experience in relevant field with similar institutions.Proficiency with the use of workflow tools and managing large volumes of data, utilizing analytical mindset and organizational skills to be able to do so.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong report writing and workpaper documentation skills, including detailed accuracy and attention to detail, are critical.Analytical and problem solving skills are required, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and take responsibility for completion of assigned work, prioritizing as necessary.Be able to work independently with minimal supervision, whilst also being a team player and willing to work with others to achieve shared goals.Working with Us:
