Job Description
The Project Superintendent plays a pivotal role in ensuring successful on-site coordination for all phases of construction. This includes the management of subcontractors, materials, and equipment while adhering strictly to specifications. The Superintendent is responsible for maintaining schedules, conducting inspections, overseeing quality control, and ensuring job safety.
ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day construction site activities from commencement to punch list.Assist the Project Manager in developing a project schedule.Coordinate subcontractor work to maintain the project schedule.Create and maintain a project 'two-week look ahead'.Maintain daily reports and progress photo documentation.Attend project meetings with the Project Manager.Hold safety 'tool box' meetings with subcontractors and onsite employees.Coordinate, schedule, and meet officials for building inspections.Schedule inspections and field testing such as compaction and concrete.Maintain a safe and clean project site.Walk site throughout the day and inspect work in progress.Take progress photos.Document areas of deficiency or unforeseen job conditions with photos and written narratives.Ensure project specifications are adhered to by subcontractors.Maintain project quality control.Conduct oneself in a professional manner.Essential Skills5+ years experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.Proficiency in construction supervision and subcontractor management.Strong knowledge of quality control processes.Experience with Procore software.OSHA 10 certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsOSHA 30 certification.Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.Self-performing experience.Pre-construction or carpentry experience.Work Environment
The role is based on the project site within a self-performing company. Projects are local to Connecticut, ensuring sites are within one hour of your residence.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
