Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Quality Inspector to join our team and work primarily on transportation projects. This role involves performing inspection services for grading tasks and observing large structural constructions. The inspector will oversee project specifics, manage the schedule of materials, and ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) specifications.
ResponsibilitiesPerform inspection services for all grading tasks and large structural constructions.Oversee project specifics and manage the schedule of materials.Ensure compliance with DOT specifications.Write reports and document each project.Collaborate with project teams internally and with contractors on job sites.Essential SkillsACI Concrete Field Testing Technician I certification.5+ years of construction inspection experience.5+ years of materials testing experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with soil testing and nuclear gauge.Site construction and transportation expertise.Previous experience working on federal or state projects with high standards and extensive documentation requirements.Experience working on specific transportation projects.Work Environment
The role is field-based, requiring full-time work on large construction sites across the state. You will interact with engineers, project managers, and field personnel from owners to general contractors and subcontractors on-site. Comfortable communication with multiple teams and individuals is essential. The work is outdoors, involving different weather conditions, and may require travel around the metro area without overnight stays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
