JOB SUMMARY:  

As we launch and rapidly expand across both owned and franchised locations, we are seeking a forward-thinking Project Manager for Construction of new locations. You’ll lead the construction of new parks from the ground up, ensuring each one delivers Cloudbound’s high standards of safety, creativity, and modern aesthetics. You will set the strategy to scale the buildouts efficiently across the country and bring a passion for delivering projects on time, on budget, and beautifully built. This role blends project management discipline with startup agility and extensive experience with commercial construction projections.   

  

QUALIFICATIONS:  

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or related field.  

7+ years of commercial construction project management experience in ground up and conversions, with preference given to the restaurant, retail, or entertainment industries.    

Experience managing multiple multi-million-dollar construction projects simultaneously.  

Familiarity with building codes, ADA compliance, permitting, and safety standards.  

Passion for building spaces designed for children, families, and play.  

An ability to maintain proactive communication with multiple stakeholders throughout the duration of each project to ensure a successful turnover.  

Self-starter and must be able to work autonomously while managing competing priorities in a growing fast-paced environment.  

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings with working knowledge of negotiating techniques, methods, and practices.  

Computer knowledge of Microsoft Suite tools (Excel, Powerpoint), and industry-specific software such as Procore  

Skilled in process and project management with excellent multi-tasking and follow-up skills  

 

  

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  

General Requirements  

Own construction project delivery for new Cloudbound locations—from pre-construction ideation through turnover to Operations – working closely with Development PMs, Design, Architecture, and Permitting teams.  

Monitor site progress, quality, safety, and change orders—regularly reporting status to leadership.  

Vet, select, and manage GCs, subcontractors, and local permitting consultants alongside experts on the Development team at HQ.  

Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and scopes across multiple concurrent projects. Identify cost variances between actual, budgeted or estimated work.  

  

Cross Functional Partnership  

Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, and vendors to ensure execution aligns with Cloudbound’s unique look, feel, and functional goals.  

Partner with HQ teams that also support Sky Zone to leverage existing toolsets and best practices while documenting new processes and standards.  

Work closely with the Design and Park Operations teams to create the best layouts that maximize functionality and budget.  

Troubleshoots with contractors, vendors, architects, and/or engineers throughout the project to scale construction processes, tools, and templates for future location rollout.  

  

Construction Management Best Practices  

Ensure project work at all levels meets the highest standards of workmanship based on industry and company standards.  

Proactively navigate city approvals, permitting, inspections, and code compliance.  

Process and manage all project invoices and escalate any deviation from the approved budget immediately upon discovery and in writing.  

Determine critical project milestones to ensure target completion dates are met.  

Mitigate risk through the planning process by anticipating and coming up with solutions for potential issues that can arise.  

Set-up, manage, and track project files including design iterations, costs, backlogs, risks, communications, reports, and respond to information requests.  

Review schedule of work not started or incomplete and recommend adjustments in the schedule to meet the completion date.   

Review all special or non-standard work or installation with the architect and appropriate consultants to avoid any conflicts or delays in project completion.  

Schedule, attend and coordinate progress meetings with business leaders, general contractor, architects, and engineers as necessary to discuss such matters as project updates, procedures, progress, problems, and scheduling.  

Complete and document site assessments for each project; complete and document project close outs making sure all files are archived and saved appropriately.  

  

  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

This position requires the ability to move and position self appropriately during park and construction visits, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation range is $90,000-$100,000 plus bonus opportunity, based on qualifications, experience, and performance.  Full-time employees at CircusTrix enjoy a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a 401k plan with company matching.  Eligibility for 401k is based on age and tenure requirements.
