Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Construction Project Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in the success of construction projects. You will lead efforts in planning, organizing, and staffing key field positions while establishing project objectives, policies, and procedures to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with construction project teams to ensure project success.Plan, organize, and staff key field positions.Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.Control and monitor construction through the on-site superintendent.Provide staffing, technical direction, and employee development.Develop and implement project scheduling standards and procedures.Manage planning and scheduling activities, including schedule development and progress update reports.Maintain input for schedules, cost reports, project accounting, estimates, and document control.Prepare meeting agendas, attend project meetings, and prepare and distribute minutes.Solicit and obtain quotes for vendor-supplied items and subcontracts.Negotiate terms and conditions and prepare and issue subcontracts and change orders.Prepare and place purchase orders and handle third-party rental agreements.Address and resolve invoicing problems.Expedite site delivery of materials and labor.Interact with subcontractors and vendors to address construction issues.Correct material or equipment defects and monitor warranty claims.Assemble closeout documentation in accordance with contract requirements.Essential SkillsConstruction project management experience.Knowledge of architectural, structural, and MEP systems.Construction/field experience.Exceptional computer skills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical knowledge of construction assemblies and costs.Detail-oriented, organized, with strong time management skills.Team player with strong communication skills.Professional written and oral communication skills.Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related fields preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsProject management, construction management, commercial construction, retail construction.5+ years of experience with fit-out projects preferred.Experience in lab construction and fit-out, scheduling, budget management, and project coordination.Ability to run projects independently without hand-holding.Experience with interior construction, commercial fit-outs, and lab fit-outs.Strong communicator who isn't afraid of having fun.Work Environment
The work environment involves primarily working from the job site, with opportunities to work from home and spend time in the Malden office. The company is a women-owned business, with consistent work flow, currently managing 22 projects. You will be part of a supportive team where your contributions are valued.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $53.00/hr.
