Our client is a leading EPC contractor in the Oil & Gas sector and are looking to recruit a Construction Methods Engineer for their Surrey office. Candidate will play a crucial role in a carbon capture project, ensuring fabrication & construction methods activities are properly executed.

Role Overview

Develop methods procedures and supervise assigned draftsmen and external subcontractors to ensure deliverables, equipment, facilities and services meet specified requirements. Ensure compliance with international standards and challenge client requirements for project benefit. Interface with construction methods and subcontracting departments, project teams, and clients. Assist the Construction Methods Lead in preparing requests for quotation and technical bid evaluations during bid and early EPC phases. Participate in site visits, supervise complex operations on-site, and manage them as required. Engage in risk assessment sessions and define HSE plans. Organize and participate in design and constructability reviews to integrate fabrication and construction requirements early into the design. Maintain filing systems, document reviews, and ensure feedback and lessons learned are recorded. Act as constructability coordinator during bids or construction engineer during the engineering phase as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in fabrication and construction methods for oil & gas projects.
