Job Description
We are seeking experienced and entry-level Construction Materials Technicians, Special Inspectors, and Geotechnical Inspectors for diverse projects in the Greenville marketplace. Opportunities are available for Tech II and Tech III roles, as well as for individuals new to the field with an interest in the profession.
ResponsibilitiesTesting, analysis, and quality control of materials.Conduct grain size analysis, Atterberg limit testing, moisture-density testing, ASTM and NCDOT hydrometers, and laboratory resistivity testing for soils.Perform aggregate grain size analysis, specific gravity of fine and coarse aggregates, and dry rodded unit weight for aggregates.Perform compressive and flexural strength testing of concrete cylinders, beams, and cubes, produce laboratory trial batches, sample and test fresh unit weight, air content, and observe batch plant operations for Portland Cement Concrete.Conduct burn and gradation analysis, max. theoretical testing (Rice), and specific gravity testing for Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).Perform absorption and compressive strength testing on masonry blocks.Essential Skills2-3+ years of experience preferred.Experience in materials inspections, concrete, and soils & concrete testing.Additional Skills & QualificationsCertifications in ACI, ICC, I.C.C., Nicet are preferred but not required.Skills in masonry testing.Work Environment
The role involves working both in the field and in laboratory settings. The work environment is dynamic and provides opportunities to engage with various testing and inspection processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winterville, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
