Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for an entry-level Construction Materials Technician to join our team in Nashville, TN. This role involves learning and performing quality assurance and quality control testing on construction materials such as concrete, soils, and aggregates from commercial construction sites. The position offers hands-on experience both in the field and in our materials lab.
ResponsibilitiesPerform QA/QC testing on construction materials including concrete, soils, and aggregates.Conduct tests such as slump, air content, compression, and temperature for concrete.Perform density testing for soil and aggregates.Carry out Proctor and Atterberg limit tests.Assist with both field and lab testing as required.Essential SkillsBasic knowledge of construction practices.Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in testing construction materials such as concrete, soils, or aggregates is preferred.ACI Level I concrete testing certification is preferred.Work Environment
This position involves working on commercial construction sites and in a small local office. Flexibility is key as work may be scheduled early mornings or evenings, particularly when concrete pours are taking place. The role requires adaptability to varying schedules and working conditions.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
