Job Title: Construction Materials Technician
Job Description

This role involves performing all phases of field assignments, interpreting specifications and working drawings, and conveying intent to the contractor. You will be responsible for field inspection, testing coordination, sampling, equipment maintenance, and generating field reports. Additionally, you will communicate with project staff on design changes and ensure compliance with public health and safety requirements.

ResponsibilitiesPerform all phases of field assignments and interpret specifications and working drawings.Conduct field inspections, testing, and sampling, and maintain equipment on assigned projects.Record and organize field data as required by project plans and specifications.Generate and compile field reports.Maintain vehicles and equipment as required.Collaborate with project staff on design changes.Communicate effectively with all entities to keep everyone fully informed.Record daily installed construction quantities and review payment requests.Ensure adherence to public health and safety requirements and proper safety procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience working on construction sites.ODOT Soil Compaction Certification.ODOT Project Experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsNICET Certification.NECTTP Certification.ACI Certification.Skills in construction inspection and soil evaluation.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
