Job Description
The role involves assisting with the sampling and testing of construction materials, including soils, concrete, and asphalt, both in the field and laboratory settings. The technician will be responsible for performing testing of soil materials in the field, concrete observation and testing, monitoring construction activities as required by project specifications, and assisting other technicians or professionals.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with sampling or testing of construction materials such as soils, concrete, and asphalt.Perform testing of soil materials in the field.Conduct concrete observation and testing in the field.Monitor construction activities according to project specifications.Perform construction materials testing in the laboratory.Provide assistance to other technicians or professionals as needed.Essential SkillsExperience in construction materials testing, including soils, concrete, and asphalt.ACI certification and Troxler/Nuclear Gauge certification.2+ years of experience in construction materials testing.Proficiency in using nuclear gauge equipment.Quality control and drilling skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsSB 101 or SB102 certifications are a plus1A or 1B are a plusWork Environment
The position requires working both outdoors and in a laboratory setting. Employees have the option to use a company-provided vehicle or drive their own vehicle with a daily rate paid. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
