Construction Materials Technician
Job Title: Construction Materials TechnicianJob Description We are seeking an entry-level Construction Materials Testing Technician to support upcoming projects in West Tennessee, the person, and Northeast Arkansas. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience performing quality assurance and quality control testing on concrete, soils, and aggregates from commercial construction sites. Training will be provided to carry out these tests both in the field and in the materials lab. Responsibilities + Perform QA/QC testing on construction materials including concrete, soils, and aggregates. + Conduct field and lab tests such as slump, air, compression, and temperature for concrete. + Execute density tests for soils and aggregates. + Perform proctors and Atterberg limits tests. + Ensure accurate recording and reporting of test results. + Collaborate with site personnel to coordinate testing schedules. Essential Skills + Basic knowledge of construction processes. + Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Previous experience in testing construction materials such as concrete, soils, or aggregates is preferred. + ACI Level I concrete testing certification is preferred. Work Environment The role involves working on commercial construction sites and in a laboratory setting. Candidates must have a flexible schedule to accommodate early morning or evening shifts, particularly when concrete is being poured. The position is based out of a small local office and involves working with a national client. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
