Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Materials Technician for a traveling position. The successful candidate will work on large commercial and industrial projects across different regions. This role involves performing testing and observations on construction sites and preparing daily reports. The technician will review data and communicate findings with project managers onsite and within the team.
ResponsibilitiesPerform testing and observations on large commercial and industrial construction projects.Prepare and submit daily reports on job site observations.Review data and communicate findings with project managers and team members.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations during testing.Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and field personnel from various teams.Essential SkillsACI Concrete Field Testing Technician I certification.Minimum of 2 years of construction inspection experience.Minimum of 2 years of materials testing experience.Experience in soil testing and using a nuclear gauge.Additional Skills & QualificationsACI Concrete Strength I certification is preferred but not required.ICC Pre-Stressed Concrete Special Inspector certification is preferred.Knowledge of nuclear gauge/radiation safety is advantageous.Work Environment
This position involves working full-time in the field on large construction sites across the country. The technician will interact with engineers, project managers, and field personnel, including owners, general contractors, and subcontractors. The role requires travel for the project's duration, with occasional opportunities to return home for long weekends. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and sun.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
