Job Title: Construction Materials Technician
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced lead construction materials technician for a traveling position. This individual will be involved in large commercial and industrial projects across different regions. The role involves performing testing and observations on construction sites, preparing daily reports, reviewing work and data collected in the field, and assisting with training and mentoring staff members.

ResponsibilitiesPerform testing and observations on large commercial and industrial construction projects.Prepare daily reports based on observations at the job site.Review and ensure the accuracy of work and data collected by others in the field.Assist with training and mentoring other staff members on site.Essential SkillsSoils Special Inspector certification.Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector certification.Structural Masonry Special Inspector certification.Testing Technician I certification.ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician I certification.5+ years of construction inspection experience.5+ years of materials testing experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsSoil testing experience.Experience with nuclear gauge.Preferred but not required: ACI Concrete Strength I certification.Preferred but not required: Pre-Stressed Concrete Special Inspector certification.Nuclear Gauge/Radiation safety knowledge.Work Environment

This position requires working in the field full-time on large construction sites across the country. You will interact with engineers, project managers, and field personnel from owners to general contractors and subcontractors. Comfortable and effective communication with diverse teams is essential. Travel for the duration of projects is required, with accommodations for long weekends at home.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
