Construction Materials Engineer
We are looking for a Construction Materials Engineer with project management experience to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a progressive company while allowing you to work on diverse projects. This is a permanent staff position and it can be located in Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton or Calgary.
Key Details: Conduct assessments and repairs of infrastructure like bridges and industrial facilities. Design and review various concrete mixes. Provide support for QC/QA testing and inspections. Perform non-destructive evaluations of reinforced concrete. Evaluate the service life and durability of materials. Monitor construction works in the field. Experience with construction materials testing is a solid asset. Prepare technical reports and proposals.
Qualifications: Completion of a post-secondary program in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related discipline, with a strong emphasis on construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, and aggregates. Prior experience in construction materials testing is considered an asset. Familiarity with working on active construction sites is advantageous. A graduate-level degree (e.g., Master’s or higher) is beneficial but not required. Possession of a valid driver’s license (Class 5 or equivalent) is mandatory. Demonstrated strength in organization, project coordination, and interpersonal communication. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekend shifts.
