This position is located at a project site in Yokota, Japan.
We are looking for a passionate and curious, client-focused Construction Manager to grow with our team. The candidate will support a federal project in Yokota, Japan.
Reporting directly to the Project Delivery Leader, this individual may work independently or lead a team of site-based CM staff. In a client-advisory capacity, the CM focuses on facilitation with the A/E and Contractors during execution of one or more projects and is accountable for applying best practices for managing scope, schedule, cost, and quality during construction. Other general duties and responsibilities include:
• Client representation during building design and construction centered on cost, schedule, scope, and quality management
• Facilitating meetings and communication across multiple stakeholders and utilizing the latest project management control systems
• Assisting in the development scopes and budgets for building projects
• Evaluating potential Changes in the Work and assisting the client with mitigating construction cost and schedule risks
• Monitoring schedule performance, approving payment requisitions, and generating executive-level progress reports
• Assigning and maximizing contributions from technical resources supporting the project
• Expediting actions and actively engaging in resolution of issues arising during design and construction
• Provide submittal reviews
• Construction Quality inspections
• Managing site-based staff within a fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction/Project Management. Waived for 10 years in the field of construction administration.
• 5 years of construction management experience
• Must be able to read and write in English and Japanese
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Federal project experience
• CCM certification
